Trip to Thai Countryside Pictures

We visited a section of the Thai countryside in which the villages were built alongside canals, some natural and some man-made. Each canal was approximately 20 - 40 feet wide and 8 feet deep. The canal system resembled any neighborhood street plan. People's houses and shops were alongside the canal, and the people pulled up to them in their boats. We travelled down these canals in long motorized boats with about five rows, each of which sat only two people. The first photo is of a house alongside the canal which was a bit nicer than most of the others we saw.

This second photo is presumably of temple grounds that we passed.

Here's a photo of a large, tourist market built alongside the canal.
